After completing her doctorate in psychology, Deborah knew the direction her life was meant to take: she would pursue her passion, a passion that had been growing since childhood. From her grandmother, painter Laetitia Bonnici, she learned to love and respect art.
Deborah first joined the Atelier de Lundi in Grasse, under the tutelage of painter Georges Bard, and then New York painter Leo Buskin. She mastered control of line and gesture. But not until she was alone in her own studio, freed from academic restraints, did she find her own technique.
Quickly gaining the attention of a gallery, her work found its way to Holland, the Antilles, and the United States.
In June 2006, FG Fine Art and the Chateau de la Napoule offered her her first solo exposition at an art foundation.
Encouraged by such renowned artists as Bria Bari, Bertrand Pigeon and Jean Marie Fondacaro the artist found the strength and confidence to continue to develop her artistic intuition and hone her style.
The maturity of her paintings is surprising; the violence, passion and energy intrigue and attract not only art lovers, but the general public as well.
